Well it looks like they have finally woken up and have qualified. I also thought they played well, so i guess we’ll all be getting our hopes up now! lol….Wonder who theyll be playing in the next round…..

Can someone please, please tell me what the hell is gpoing on with the england team. For gods sake they were pathetic last night. The ball was bobbing aound all over the place. That is one of the worst games Ive ever seen.
I was waiting for someone on here to bring it up. Diabolical game played by alleged world superstars. I just dont get where the team from the qualifying stages are.
And what about rooney?
Have you ever seen that man fluff so many balls in a whole season before let alone this one game. he had no ball control at all. There’s something seriously wrong here. Is the water being doped or something?

Its much more than a game chelsea. These things are important in ways you probably cant understand. Ok, we might not be good ebnough to win the world cup, but we are good enough to play a good football match. We are frustrated that they put together such a miserable display.

We all know that they can definately play better than last night. We see them doing it all the time over and over again for their clubs. So fabio must form tactics that are to the players strengths, and not play them out of position. Nobody gains a thing by that.
I used to rate fabio, but not now. He seems to be deliberately playing them out of position. maybe he’s on Italys payroll????

So what?!They are there to perform to the best of their ability and not one of them has done that. Last night they looked like they could not be bothered. In fairness, they did look tired, but a tired professional footballer should be able to pass a ball to another player.
As for rooney. He’s an over rated, over paid prattI am pretty sure I saw or heard something on the telly a few days ago about the ball being ’too round’ ! At the time I thought it sounded totally stupid, but none of the teams seem to be playing as they should and do normally – could their be some weight in the argument that the ball or pitch is ’different’ to what they are used to and havent adjusted?? I didnt see last nights match but from what I have been told it was as if the players were like a swarm of fish out of water.
Yeah the ball is getting blamed. But it does seem to be performing in ways that are not what they are used to. Maybe it is the ball. But having said that, other teams are having to use the same ball, so they’ll just have to get on with ut
yep, deffo seems like something is ’not what they are used to’ after all they are world class players and to see more or less all of them perform terribly just seems extraordinary – and im not just talking about the england players! So far, most (nearly all) the matches have been either poor or very average…Not at all what we are used to seeing in a world cup!

This is the first time in a lot of years that I have watched a world cup where so many teams have played so poorly. It hasn’t been just england at all. What bout spain, germany, italy, holland.
They have all looked like they haven’t kicked a ball in years. The whole thing is bizarre.

Despite everything, I truly hope that england can at least scrape a win on wednesday, or maybe even suprise us all and play as we know they can and suprise a few.
They have definately got the ability to put on a great display, and now is certainly the time to do it. Fingers crossed and touch wood.
If they get out of the group stages, its last man standing and I reckon they will do well.
Me too. It is within them, and with the pressure of trying to get group points off them, maybe the knockout games will bring a change in attitude.

I’d rather the FA get in there and try to find out what the hell is going on!! Crapello works for them, and its about time they shoed some backbone and insisted he get things right, as of right now.
